THE BEGINNING

My story starts growing up in a small Prairie town, as the awkward introverted only child with glasses, wild curly hair & probably a puppy in tow.

My love for photography started before I even knew what to call it - flipping through old film photos of my parents dating in their 90's fits, family road trips to the West Coast, me curled up with my grandpa or playing in the flower gardens with my grandma. I didn't know it then, but those photos were planting the seed. At an early age, looking at those photographs was incredibly impactful to my memories of those moments.

Fast forward to high school when I joined yearbook class & basically hijacked the school camera every chance I got. I would take photos of my friends, then friends of friends, family, anyone who was willing. One thing led to another and I photographed my first wedding at 17. Something about it just clicked. It wasn't the pretty details or perfectly posed portraits that drew me in, it was the people. Watching two families become one, seeing the happy tears, the hugs, the laughter and all of those fleeting moments reminded me why those old family photographs meant so much to me growing up.

I realized I wasn't just taking pictures, I was preserving memories that would only become more valuable with time. That's why I photograph not only weddings, but families, newborns and everything in between. These aren't just photos for right now, they're part of your story long past you can even fathom.

After earning my photography diploma, I dove in head first - no backup plan, just a lot of determination. Now with nearly a decade into my photography business and I get to spend my days capturing life, love and all the little in between moments you'll want to remember forever - the one's you'll back on years from now and bring you right back in to those memories.
